Interns to Industry

Privacy notice

What happens to the information you give us when you join the pipeline.

Who we are

EconAlliance (The Economic Alliance Foundation) runs the Interns to Industry program and decides how sign-up information is used. Lighthouse Nonprofit Technologies builds and operates this website for EconAlliance.

What we collect

Your name, email, optional phone, your school or organization, your role, what you're interested in, and the industries you pick. Students also choose an age range. We record your consent and when you gave it, how you found the form (for example, a QR code at an event), a coarse device type, and a one-way hashed network identifier used only to stop spam. We never store your IP address.

We do not ask for your date of birth, Social Security number, student ID, grades, health or disability information, immigration status, or home address.

Why we collect it

To follow up with you about internships, work-based learning, and the Interns to Industry program. If you check the optional box, we may also email you about future career events. We do not sell your information.

Who sees it

EconAlliance staff, and only the program partners needed to follow up with you, such as your school's career counselor or the Santa Barbara County Workforce Development Board. Your information is stored with our hosting providers, Vercel and Neon, in the United States.

Students under 18

You must be 13 or older to sign up. If you're under 18, we flag your sign-up, we don't send you marketing email, and a parent or guardian must approve before any placement starts.

How long we keep it

Up to 12 months after you sign up, or less if it moves into EconAlliance's main program system sooner. Then it's deleted.

Demo sessions

The demo after sign-up uses fictional sample data. So that your changes can appear on other screens, what you do in the demo (for example a made-up referral or note) is saved for 48 hours after your last action, then deleted. Please don't type real people's information into the demo.

Your choices

To see, correct, or delete what you gave us, email initiatives@econalliance.org.
